If you want a simple answer to this question, then the answer is no, waist training is not dangerous.
If you want a more long winded answer, let me get into it. A lot of people have said that they think waist training is bad for you because it will take your organs and essentially strangle them.
This could not be any further from the truth and the people that say this have not been educated on the facts.
Waist training is not bad at all! You can get a slim waist without hurting yourself but you need to know it just takes time, that is all, no danger involved here.
In fact, there have been several studies done by doctors to show how someone training their waist with a waist trainer has actually changed their body.
You can see in this picture below that all the inner organs are in tact just like they should be. In fact, the only thing that really changes is the indent in your skin around your waist. Sometimes the intestines will move out of the way, but this is not bad for you!
These will return to their original spot once you have taken your corset off for the night. Why is it that every time you want to feel better about yourself, someone tries to tear you down?
Let me be clear here, there have been a few cases where people have damaged their insides.
How did they do this though?
They used the corset VERY tightly for extended periods of times. These were cases where they wanted to reduce their waist to a point where it could not go.
We recommend that you do not try to shave more than 4-5 inches off your waist. It is up to you as a consumer of waist training products to educate yourself on safety and make sure you are using them correctly.
There are a lot of rumors and nonsense flying around out there because this trend is so new.
